I see so many people suffering due to disasters and poor planning as well as lack of knowledge of how to be prepared.  Job loss and home mortgage defaults seems to be the rule of the day.  Climate changes causing drought and floods play havoc with food supplies both for us directly and indirectly.  The threat of government default and terrorist attacks cannot not be ignored.  Any of the above can be devastating to us and our families if we don't prepare.  
I hear many say " I don't need to plan for these disasters, God will take care of us".  I agree that God can and will take care of us, but I do think that He expects us to do what we can, for ourselves, and He will take over from there.  
It is so simple to start a garden and have it established in case of a catastrophe.  Having at least a few days of drinking water stored is the minimum requirement for survival.
The pages of this blog are my thoughts brought about with input from many others that know more than I and I do appreciate their time and willingness to share their information.
I purposely have not included topics of home security and personal protection because others do that much better than I.  Please consider the personal protection issues to protect yourself and your families.
