SAVING RAINWATER IS A MUST.

After last summer's extreme drought it became obvious that saving rainwater for summer watering was very necessary.  Yes, we have rural water but it can be very costly in a dry year and chlorinated water is by nature not as good for the plants as rainwater.  The three tanks in the top two pics hold 950 gallons and are hooked together at the bottom by a two inch pvc pipe which runs underground to the garden.  One tank fills from the barn gutter so all three fill at the same.  I have two others filling from another gutter.

We have a 55gal polyurethane barrel on the deck that fills from the house gutter and has a fill spout for filling water cans.  I bought 4 of these for $10.00 each.  Some of them are for long term drinking water storage as they are food grade barrels.
